shakshuka is a recipe that has been around for many many years and almost every culture wants to claim it; I understand it’s absolutely delicious. I was looking at a video of Turkish eggs one day and thought hmm, why don’t I follow the same steps except instead of having the base be yogurt lets me make a shakshuka that way. traditionally the egg is poached one the delicious sauce however I thought I would try something different. I guess you can call this a shakshuka with a twist.
The best part about this recipe is you really don’t need that many ingredients, you can simply use black pepper, salt and chilli flakes to season the recipe and it’ll turn out to be just as good. in my opinion, I like to have my shakshuka simple because I love the taste of the onions and tomatoes cooked down to perfection.
Hope you give this recipe a try and if you’re not feeling like soft-boiling the eggs you can crack your egg in and it’ll be just as good.
